I do not know specifically what, if anything, the Viewplus does. In
general, with Braille embowssing it is best to set the embosser itself for
parameters larger then your physical page, then let the Braille translation
software control everything. Otherwise you get the two fighting.

If you are talking about embossing across the perf between pages, generally
you need to set the number of lines per page to 25, top margin to 1, and
make sure skip perf is turned on.
If you are talking about embossing over the perf for the tractor feed on the
sides, you'll need to adjust your left or right margins and probably your
characters per line settings as well. I usually have my left margin set to
2, but that may vary depending on your embosser.

Hi all,
I am new to braille printing/embossing and I'm running into an issue with
formatting. I am using the ViewPlus Max Embosser to emboss and Duxbury
Braille Translation software to translate the braille. The issue I'm running
into is that the braille is punching down across the perforated lines,
rendering the embossed pages useless (attaching a picture below of two pages
of braille where the braille is embossed along the perforation). I have
tried adjusting the line spaces in DBT, but it doesn't seem to make a
difference. I am aware there is supplemental software you can purchase to
accompany the ViewPlus Max Embosser, but it's an additional cost and I'm not
sure that will be the fix I need. Does anyone have any insight on why this
may be happening?
Thank you for your help,
Gracie Sheets
