Stanford University’s Office of Accessible Education is searching for a Lead Alternate Format Specialist.
The mission of OAE is to promote an accessible and inclusive environment for all students with disabilities. Through both academic and housing accommodations, we work to mitigate physical and attitudinal barriers that students might face. We are dedicated to supporting students with disabilities, so they have access to perform at their academic potential. We also strive to promote the inclusive environment they need to experience full membership in our diverse Stanford community.
As a member of our Alternate Format Production team, you’ll play a pivotal role in supporting blind and low-vision students by converting essential course materials—such as lecture slides, problem sets, readings, and textbooks—into accessible formats. You’ll work across a diverse range of subjects, from American Literature to Physics, ensuring that all students have equal access to their education. We’re looking for a passionate, dedicated individual who is committed to accessibility, thrives on creative problem-solving, and excels in fast-paced, dynamic team environments. If you're driven to make a real difference in students' lives and want to contribute to an inclusive academic community, we want to hear from you! Join our team of skilled professionals and help us shape a more inclusive future at Stanford.
