Hi Hadi and Laurie,<div><br></div><div>We are just exploring the idea of supporting TC Conference. It is very far from a done deal. Most of the impetus here is toward a more mainstream product, such as Adobe Connect or Elluminate/Bb Collaborate. </div>
<div><br></div><div>I know from experience about the accessibility of TC Conference. So I think it would be great if we could support it here and pay for it centrally. However, that is just my wish. We very well might end up with just a single system, and my sense is that it is unlikely if that is the case that TC Conference would get enough support to be the one chosen. </div>
<div><br></div><div>One idea we might explore, however, is supporting more than one system and "tiering" them--different conferencing systems depending upon the instructor's current needs for features, or something like that. This is all just talk between a very few people, at this point. No decisions have been made, nor any lengthy discussions, even. Just ideas, possibilities to explore.</div>
<div><br></div><div>In any case, what I would really like to know is if any universities are supporting and paying for TC Conference centrally and/or whether they are heavy users of TC Conference. Any contact information for IT staff within universities that support TC Conference would be very helpful for us.</div>

I don't know about Adobe Connect but according to Valerie Schreiner, Elluminate offers support to end-users regardless they are students or faculty.<br>
TC offers similar support and so far to my experience they were not bad; if I couldn't reach them immediately they got back to me pretty quickly.<br>
If you are going to sign any contract with them you might want to emphasize the availability of the support in your contract. When someone calls the tech support for a web conferencing system, it usually means that he/she needs an immediate support and it is important that there is someone to help.<br>

I am very glad to hear that your campus is going to include TC officially in the list of supported web conferencing systems.<br>
