This fall a student who is blind will be taking an algebra class,<br>
using Beginning Algebra, 11e, Lial, by Pearson/Addison-Wesley.<br>
The only alternate form of the book available from the publisher is PDF.<br>
Is anybody working or will be working with this textbook? (The student<br>
prefers math to be in Braille. She has a Braille notetaker.)<br>
If anyone would like to offer some advice or alternative options to<br>
consider, I would greatly appreciate it. You can contact me off the<br>
listserv if you like.<br>

I did evaluation work about Banner for a number of years even after Sungard<br>
had purchased them. They have been approached multiple times in multiple<br>
ways but for the most part seem to be happy with what they are doing/ They<br>
pretty much ignored all the input the got as far as I am aware, but it<br>
really has some issues and if folks are interested why not. We could add<br>
PeopleSoft to the mix as well, since it is not much better from an<br>
accessibility perspective as far as I am aware.<br>
