<p class="MsoPlainText">I am a senior at Harvard College majoring in Government and conducting my senior thesis research on the barriers students with severe physical and sensory disabilities encounter as they attempt to acquire the equal access to postsecondary
education guaranteed to them under federal law. Regardless of abilities, most students face challenges in their academic course work after high school. Yet students with disabilities often face additional obstacles because of unique limitations arising from
their conditions. As a student with a physical disability, I have faced many challenges in my own pursuit of a college degree. My research is motivated by the obstacles I have faced.<o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="MsoPlainText"><o:p> </o:p></p>
<p class="MsoPlainText">I am writing to you to invite you to participate in my study. Doing so would require you to complete a 20 to 30-minute online survey about your experiences as a student with a disability at a postsecondary institution. The survey will
also ask about your experiences with certain federal and state government agencies that are designated to support students with disabilities pursuing postsecondary education. In order to participate, you must be a student with a physical, mobility, visual,
or hearing impairment, age 18 or older, and currently attend a postsecondary institution. The survey is designed to be accessible to those who use a screen reader. At the end of the survey, you will be asked if you would like to participate in an interview
which will provide you with an opportunity to share your experiences in greater detail.<o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="MsoPlainText">As a token of appreciation for your participation in the online survey, a $10 gift card from Amazon.com will be sent to your email address.<o:p></o:p></p>
