<pre><span style="font-size:10.5pt">7(20)(B) of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, as amended.<o:p></o:p></span></pre>

<pre><span style="font-size:10.5pt">The purpose of this priority is to enter into a cooperative </span><o:p></o:p></pre>
<pre><span style="font-size:10.5pt">agreement to implement a pilot project that would improve outcomes for <o:p></o:p></span></pre>
<pre><span style="font-size:10.5pt">individuals with disabilities by increasing access to information and <o:p></o:p></span></pre>
<pre><span style="font-size:10.5pt">communication technologies (ICT) through automatic personalization of <o:p></o:p></span></pre>
<pre><span style="font-size:10.5pt">needed assistive technology (AT). Under the Automated Personalization <o:p></o:p></span></pre>
<pre><span style="font-size:10.5pt">Computing Project (APCP), an information technology (IT) infrastructure <o:p></o:p></span></pre>
<pre><span style="font-size:10.5pt">would be created to allow users of ICT to store preferences in the <o:p></o:p></span></pre>
<pre><span style="font-size:10.5pt">cloud or other technology, which then would allow supported Internet-<o:p></o:p></span></pre>
<pre><span style="font-size:10.5pt">capable devices they are using to automatically run their preferred AT <o:p></o:p></span></pre>
<pre><span style="font-size:10.5pt">solutions.<o:p></o:p></span></pre>
<pre><span style="font-size:10.5pt"> Using these stored preferences, along with information about the <o:p></o:p></span></pre>
<pre><span style="font-size:10.5pt">computer (e.g., type, operating system) and available AT solutions, the <o:p></o:p></span></pre>
<pre><span style="font-size:10.5pt">APCP would identify AT to meet the user's preferences and then <o:p></o:p></span></pre>
<pre><span style="font-size:10.5pt">configure the computer accordingly. This may require automatically <o:p></o:p></span></pre>
<pre><span style="font-size:10.5pt">configuring AT built into the mainstream technology computer itself or <o:p></o:p></span></pre>
<pre><span style="font-size:10.5pt">configuring external AT solutions to operate on the computer.<o:p></o:p></span></pre>
<pre><span style="font-size:10.5pt"> The Department is seeking to implement a pilot demonstration of <o:p></o:p></span></pre>
<pre><span style="font-size:10.5pt">this concept which demonstrates how the automated personalization could <o:p></o:p></span></pre>
