<div>I'm working on an article for an audience that includes people with no familiarity with screen readers. I'm looking for sources to cite to quickly give readers a sense that it tends to take significantly longer to navigate using a screen reader than with
vision. <span style="font-size: 13.3333px;"> I realize there's a huge variation in the time it takes depending on many factors, but I want to convey a general idea.</span></div>

<div>It is an academic audience that would more likely trust peer reviewed sources or edited sources (journals, edited news articles, reports, websites...). <span style="font-size: 10pt;">Even tiny, qualitative user studies would help. </span></div>
