On our campus, we were using Lynda.com, which was then eaten up by LinkedIn Learning. There is no option for us to not disclose our courses. I first heard of the problem through my local library, which ALSO provided Lynda.com courses, and ceased providing them because of this privacy component because it moved to LinkedIn and you needed a LinkedIn account to use what was Lynda.com.
I'm exercising extreme caution until there is a true fix. It is disappointing that this has happened, and I am surprised that LinkedIn didn't maintain this privacy from Lynda.com.
Hi all -

I know that there have been privacy concerns about LinkedIn Learning (LIL), BUT be aware that it is not required to connect a LinkedIn profile to a LIL account that is paid for by a campus license. We asked our LinkedIn rep about it before we did the migration from Lynda.com. If you have already connected a LinkedIn profile to a campus LIL account, you can disconnect it again in order to keep your viewing history private. Even with a connected account, you have the option to not post your certificates of completion to LinkedIn. See your campus LIL administrator, or contact your LinkedIn rep, for help.
