<div dir="ltr">Hi Melissa, <div><br></div><div>I don't know if you ever received any responses, but one thing that came to mind was a project being done (years and years ago) at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, where they were converting handwritten manuscripts of poems to machine-readable text, including all the edits and erasures and marginalia and stuff. Brian <a href="https://cdrh.unl.edu/about/faculty/pytlik_zillig">Pytlik Zillig</a> was heavily involved in it, so he might be able to talk about a good way of representing margalia in a machine-readable format?
