<p class="MsoNormal">I use 4K Video Downloader for YouTube videos. For anything online that I can’t download, I typically record via Zoom and do some minor editing before uploading it to our captioning provider. I have access to the admin side of Kaltura so
I can download videos there (Kaltura management console). Before I had access to download content directly from Kaltura I sometimes had to get faculty to either make me a co-editor of the video or have them set the video to be downloadable (not always easy
or fast). <o:p></o:p></p>

<li class="MsoListParagraph" style="margin-left:0in;mso-list:l0 level1 lfo1">Start a Zoom meeting with muted microphone and video off<o:p></o:p></li><li class="MsoListParagraph" style="margin-left:0in;mso-list:l0 level1 lfo1">Share my screen (typically to a browser window) and set the screen share to optimize for video sharing and sharing computer audio<o:p></o:p></li><li class="MsoListParagraph" style="margin-left:0in;mso-list:l0 level1 lfo1">Record the meeting<o:p></o:p></li><li class="MsoListParagraph" style="margin-left:0in;mso-list:l0 level1 lfo1">Play the video<o:p></o:p></li><li class="MsoListParagraph" style="margin-left:0in;mso-list:l0 level1 lfo1">When the video is done, end the recording and end the meeting.

<p class="MsoNormal">This way I can still use my computer as long as I’m careful not to disturb the meeting. I can also mute my computer audio so I don’t have to listen to whatever I’m recording. I also use this process to record podcast audio for podcasts

<p class="MsoNormal">I have a contact on our Kaltura team to gain access to videos. No download tools work with Kaltura that I’m aware of. Screen recording could be done, but that would mean I wouldn’t have access to my machine while it’s recording the video.
