Sebastian, thank you for the suggestion! Will give it a try. It definitely becomes a mess when students need the electronic version as part of their accommodation, but the Law school allows only physical copies for open book exams!!</div>

We have also encountered a couple publishers who only provide e-texts when a student purchases a new copy. There's not a lot you can do in these situations. However, it might be helpful to rely on state or federal law. For example, California Education Code
67302 mandates that publishing companies provide students with electronic formats of textbooks but does not specify that the textbook needs to be newly purchased. You could make this argument to the publisher.</div>
