Welcome to Spring Quarter 2023! These are important dates and information to note!



Academic Services:
Academic Services is available remotely via email, phone and Zoom. Our drop in's will primarily be through Zoom, and please note that appointments are limited at this time due to staffing changes.

Applying for graduation:
-Students need to submit a graduation application through a Biology adviser by the 3rd Friday of their final quarter. Email is the quickest way to process this request.
-Advisers can submit a graduation application up to 3 quarters in advance* of the estimated graduation date. We recommend submitting a graduation application early in order to receive Graduating Senior Priority <https://registrar.washington.edu/registration/periods/> (GSP) registration for 2 quarters. See the deadlines listed below or in the Academic Calendar <https://www.washington.edu/students/reg/2223cal.html#Q4> for GSP.

Be sure to include your student number and anticipated graduation date in the email.
*If you plan to graduate in Spring Deadline to apply is April 14, 2023-Summer 2023, contact an adviser to submit a graduation application. May 3 Graduation Application to activate GSP*for AUT. 23/WIN24 Due.

· April 7: Last Day to Apply to the Biology Major for Spring

· April 8 – June 30. Summer Biology Major Application Open

· April 10: Summer 2023 Period 1-Priority Registration

· April 14: Deadline to apply for graduation for Spring

· Academic Holds happen in week 3 of the quarter, please keep an eye on your email for notice of a hold.

· April 14: Autumn 2023 time schedule should be available

· April 16: Last day to add courses Through MyUw

· May 3: Biology Department Graduation RSVP

· May 3: Graduation Application to activate GSP* for AUT 23/WIN 24 Due

· May 3- 21, Commencement sign up date

· May 5: Period 1-Priority Registration for Autumn begins

· May 18: Registration Period 2 Summer Quarter starts

· May 19: Research Symposium from 11am to 6pm ”Mary Gates Hall”

· May 29: Memorial Day - HOLIDAY

· May 30- June 3, Cap & Gown pick-up University Book Store

· June 9: Last day to change to or from S/NS Grade Option

· June 9: Friday, Department of Biology Graduation Celebration

· June 10: UW Commencement – Doors Open at 12:30 pm Procession 1:30

· June 13: Grades Due from Faculty

June 14: Grades Officially Post to Transcript
·
June 20: Summer Quarter A & Full-Term Instruction Begins

· June 20: Registration Period 2 Autumn Quarter starts.
