[Biostudent] AUT 2023 - Important Dates

Biology Academic Services is available remotely via email, phone and Zoom. Our drop ins will primarily be through Zoom, and please note that appointments are limited at this time due to staffing changes.


Applying for graduation:

-Students need to submit a graduation application through a Biology adviser by the 3rd Friday of their final quarter. Email is the quickest way to process this request.

-Advisers can submit a graduation application up to 3 quarters in advance* of the estimated graduation date. We recommend submitting a graduation application early in order to receive Graduating Senior Priority (GSP) registration for 2 quarters. See the deadlines listed below or in the Academic Calendar for GSP.

-Email an adviser or visit Zoom drop-Ins to inquire about graduation applications. Be sure to include your student number and anticipated graduation date in the email.


*If you plan to graduate in absolute Spring Deadline to apply is April 12, 2023. Contact an adviser to submit a graduation application. The deadline is Nov 1st for GSP registration for Winter/Spring 2024.





AUTUMN 2023



·      Oct 11: Late Drop period begins

·      Oct 13: Winter 2024 Time schedule is available – Time/days of Winter classes are available on Myplan

Academic Holds happen in week 3 of the quarter, please keep an eye on your email for notice of a hold.

·      Oct 24: Biology Autumn Awards and Scholarships Application Close

·      Nov 1:  Last Day to submit a grad app to secure GSP for Winter/Spring/ Summer 2024

·      Nov 3: GSP for Winter 2024 begins

·      Nov 6: Senior Registration for Winter 2024 begins

·      Nov 10: Veterans’ Day – HOLIDAY

·      Nov 20: Registration Period 2 opens

·      Nov 23/24: Thanksgiving and Native American Heritage Day - HOLIDAY

·      Dec 8: Deadline to use Current Quarter Drop through MyUW

·      Dec 15: Last day to convert a class in Autumn 2023 to S/NS

·      Dec 25: Christmas - HOLIDAY
