</span><span class="markedcontent"><span style="font-size:12.0pt;font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Did you know that plant species in colder climates tend to have more toothed or lobes leaves than those in warmer climates? Or species have larger leaves in wetter
 climates than they do in dry climates? We can actually use these quantitative relationships to reconstruct climate in Earth’s past!</span></span><span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif"><o:p></o:p></span></p>

 This position would involve digitally preparing and measuring fossil leaves</span></span><span style="font-size:12.0pt;font-family:"Arial",sans-serif"> sampled from fossil sites in the PNW. A fossil leaf from Idaho from the height of the warming event, prepared
