If you are going to use Alpine exclusively to manage your folders try 
these:

folder-collections="Nick Name" #mc/INBOX.[],
 	"Another Nick" #mc/INBOX.mail.[]

The first one gives you access to all folders under inbox, the second to 
all folders under mail.
