Celebrity surgeon Munjed Al Muderis has joked at an amputee 
conference in Melbourne about patients who found maggots in their 
wounds after he had treated them.  

In a leaked recording of the event, Australian Orthotic Prosthetic 
Association´s annual conference on October 14, the moderator is heard 
inviting attendees to ask questions of the surgeon. "Don´t ask me  
about maggots," Al Muderis said, prompting laughter.
