Hi Jo Anna,

These might also be of use if editing - Sean Keegan of the High Tech
Training Center in CA gave this presentation at AHEAD.
http://htctu.net/publications/conferences/ahead/ahead07math.html

(this slideshow has a menu that appears when you hover over the lower
left corner, or you can advance to the next slide simply by clicking
anywhere on the page).

You many also want to see their manuals and tutorials main page -
http://htctu.net/trainings/manuals/tutmain.htm

If they are actually in MathType, you can download the 30-day full
featured version. If you need it for longer, a MathType license is $57
for educational use.

You can export the file as TeX/LaTeX and "Paste Special" into Scientific
Notebook, then you won't have to retype equations. Scientific Notebook
also has a trial version

Best,

Cath

Ah, I knew there had to be a way to do this! Thanks, Howard! Now I
just have to get Scientific Notebook installed in our lab!

Hi Jo Anna,

I would suggest importing the file into Scientific Notebook. You can
enter the necessary math code via Scientific notebook's equation
functions. When you then import the file into Duxbury, the math will
automatically be translated into Nemeth. To test it, you could give the
student a portion of the book and get his feedback.

Hello everyone! Time to get back to it again! I have the e-text of a
basic math book, and I have a brailler ready to translate it. But I'm
afraid the math expressions won't translate correctly since they're
probably done in Equation Editor or Math Type. What have you done to
work around this? I know I need Nemeth Code to do math in Braille, but
just don't know how to be sure I'm giving the student correct code.
Help!
