HI Susan

I had rotator cuff surgery some years back. As an OT I knew what I was in
for having spent 3 months in an internship where it sometimes seemed all did
was shoulder rehab. The Ergorest Arm Support product at this site
http://www.comfortkeyboard.com/ is a lifesaver. I was back to using the
keyboard and mouse way before I was supposed to. Not to say you should not
follow your doctor or therapists instructions, but I know you will like this
product!

I have to have shoulder surgery on December 19th. Despite the fact that I
was never a big league pitcher, I apparently have managed to tear my rotator
cuff, and have some unusual bone growth and bursitis in the shoulder/arm
joint that needs to be removed. I will lose the use of my right arm for
several weeks, if not longer and am being told not to look for a miraculous
recovery, that it may be a year before I'm back to a good arm again.

The perverse side of me is looking forward to the experience of doing
everything with my one non-dominant hand.

Any adaptive technology I should be checking out (besides Dragon, I already
have that in place)? I might as well use this down time for research in my
field.
