I will be leaving to move closer to my aging mother in Tucson, so there is an opening for Assistive Technology Specialist at Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi.  
 
This is a great place to work.  The staff in the Disability Services office are awesome and very supportive!  In fact, the whole Student Affairs Division is great.  Not to mention that TAMU-CC is on an island, which is very unique.  And, Corpus Christi has a population around 277,000 which makes it a small city with lots of amenities.

Position Title: ASSISTIVE TECHNOLOGY SPECIALIST

Qualifications:
 Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Rehabilitation Technology or closely related field. A minimum of 1 year related experience required.  
 

Preferred Qualifications: 
Master's Degree with 2 years of related experience and Certificate preferred.   

 
Job Duties: 
Coordinates assistive technology accommodations for students with disabilities. Assess appropriate individual needs and train students with disabilities to use assistive technology available on campus. Promote University-wide access to assistive technology (including access to University web pages and computer-aided learning technology) for student with disabilities and faculty. Review new assistive technologies and recommend upgrades as appropriate. Develop and present faculty and staff assistive technology training. Other duties as assigned
