The last time I tried using Open Office with JAWS (about a year ago), it was not a good experience. I would not recommend it as an industry solution for a school that is supporting students and/or employees with disabilities.

Hi Listservers,

I just got a message from our Dean of Technology stating that the school is considering moving from Microsoft Office to Open Office. I was wondering if anybody knew of any compatibility issues that may exist between Open Office and any assistive technology?
