The University of Illinois at Chicago is having a Digital Accessibility
Expo on April 9th, 2009.  For more information go to http://drc.uic.edu.

The UIC Disability Resource Center is proud to announce the 2009 Digital
Accessibility Expo. Join us on April 9 at the UIC Student Services
Building to learn about technology that enables those with disabilities to
access online information and digital course materials. The event is free.
Refreshments will be served.

WHAT: UIC Digital Accessibility Expo

WHERE: Student Services Building, Rooms A, B, & C


WHEN: April 9, 2009
            Presentations/Workshops: 9am - 4pm
            Exhibits: Noon - 4pm

COST: Free. Refreshments will be served.

The Basics of Making Accessible Course Materials
Unique Strategies to Comply with Illinois
Information Technology Accessibility Act (IITAA)
Cutting Edge Assistive Technologies for People with Disabilities
Making PDF files that are Accessible for Everyone
A Webmasters Forum
Regional, National and International Efforts to Improve Digital Accessibility

These are just a few of the topics with many sponsors including the
Chancellor's Committee on the Status of Persons with Disabilities,  ACCC, 
the Office for Access and Equity, the UIC Web Accessibility Committee, the
DBTAC Great Lakes ADA Center and many more sponsors to be announced!
