[Athen] ATHEN update

Dear Ron and Athenites,

I am quite flattered to see my name nominated for the VP position for ATHEN
this year. Unfortunately, I have just been elected as the President of
American Council of the Blind of NY. It is going to be an incredible amount
of work. With this in mind, I cannot in good conscience take on a position
to which I cannot devote the time that I should. The VP position deserves
someone who could do a fabulous job. I believe that Gaeir and Teresa are
both excellent candidates. If I could, I'd vote for both of them.

I will not be able to make it to AHG this year. I have no doubt that, as
usual, it will be a quality experience for everyone.

Warm regards,
