Will this cause Narrator not to load when the Windows-Key+U is used? Thanks.

This is a tricky one and well hidden - Go Control Panel / Ease of Access Center - this will bring up a page with Explore all Settings half way down, first select 'Use the Computer without a Display' and deselect the checkbox to turn off Narrator. Then go back to Explore all Settings and go to 'Make the Computer easier to see' and do the same for the Magnifier.

Hope that works!

Best wishes E.A.

Subject: [Athen] auto load of Narrator and Magnifier on Windows 7

Hi all,

I have a problem that I can't seem to find the fix for.  We recently upgraded to Windows 7 on all of our computers.  At some point, Narrator was loaded at the login screen to assist with the login process.  That was fine, however now both Narrator and Magnifier both always load at the login screen.  This makes the login screen hard for some to see because it is so large.  Also, having Narrator talking really confuses some students.

I have not found a place to adjust the settings so that these two items do not auto load at the login screen.  Can somebody please direct me?  I know this should be easy to do, and I'm just missing it somewhere.

Thanks.
