If you are using the Chrome web browser, then you get the best
screen-reader interaction by using ChromeVox, a screen-reader add-on for
the Chrome web browser.

ChromeVox does a decent job on most web pages and, in particular, on
Google-based pages (Google Docs, etc.). You can install ChromeVox from
the following page:
http://code.google.com/p/google-axs-chrome/

Google has also set up a tutorial for learning how to use ChromeVox to
interact with Web pages. ChromeVox is different from Windows-based
screen-readers. If anything, it is more closely related to how
VoiceOver works on a Mac. The tutorial does a good job at covering how
to use ChromeVox:

Take care,
