[Athen] help with Kindle for PC app with accessibility plugin

Hello all. A book we could not get from the publisher is available in Kindle edition and as all Kindle books I've tried, reads nicely on my laptop using the app with accessibility plugin. The student really liked the way it read and displayed on my laptops so he downloaded the same app using the link I gave him but we cannot get TSS to work. None of the usual keyboard shortcuts do anything at all. Adobe Reader and Easy Reader TSS work fine and all windows sounds are present. Anyone have an idea how I can help him to resolve this issue? I don't have his laptop with me now but I think it's a newer model Toshiba running Windows 7. Thanks!
