I’ll second Wink’s recommendation of MathTalk – we have an engineering student here at ASU who used it for calculus and other high-level classes.

Does MathTalk do upper level maths such as College Algebra? I thought it was for K-12 math-level only.

The combo that I know & have used quite successfully is math talk w/scientific notebook & dragon. It has a bit of a quirky "which starts first" routine but it is easy to use and learn. Nancilu McClellan is still in business and I can forward contact info to you. I have not been successful in the dragon/math type combo.

Anything special I need to know about to help the student get this set up to work? (I will also need to set it up so he can take his tests.)
