[Athen] limited accessibility with APA style six edition reference book

I have a client that purchased a copy of the APA style six edition book. It was a locked PDF that it's pages are not visual, it is possible to use Jaws, or possibly PDF aloud from text help. It seems like they have put an extra layer that is white over the original text. It makes it impossible for anybody to use Zoomtext, virtual printer from Kurzweil 1000 or 3000. I'll be able to experiment with it later this week.


Has anybody experienced this before?
