[Athen] Central Access Reader resource intensive?

Hi Colleagues,

One of our students is a frequent user of Central Access Reader for Mac (the older version 2.2 which is still working).  She uses it on a MacBook Air.  However, she has had times recently where CAR has frozen up and stopped running and her Mac has overheated.  She recently had the MacBook checked out by hardware services and it seems OK.  Is anyone aware of CAR being resource intensive or causing freeze ups?
