[Athen] athen-list Digest, Vol 129, Issue 18

Hey Liz,

We are currently piloting Ally with our Canvas instance. Ally is capable of
automatically scanning content in the LMS for accessibility issues, after
which it generates a comprehensive institutional report. It currently
includes all PDF, Word, Powerpoint, OpenOffice and image files, and they’re
in the process of rolling out HTML support as well (which I'm really
excited about). Also, I believe the intention is to provide a tool for
instructors through direct feedback on the content they upload and
assistance in remediation.

Unfortunately, I don't have any experience with UDOIT to provide a direct
comparison. I can say that the integration for our pilot was pretty
straightforward to set up and thus far the report has provided some
interesting and detailed insights.

Best,
Ryan
