[Athen] question Jaws reading math

Hi Susan,
What version of JAWS is the student using?
Do you have the default MathML targets for Publish as MathPage for MathType?
They are these:
HTML + MathJax
XHTML + MATHJax
XHTML+ MATHML
MathPlayer (IE behavior)
Multi-browser
There is a registry file (Tech Note# 152) that you can download from Design
Science that will give you these targets:
HTML +MathML + MATHJax (new)
HTML + MathML (new)
XHTML+ MATHML
MathPlayer (IE behavior)
Multi-browser
Here is a link to where you can download the registry file:
http://www.dessci.com/en/support/mathtype/tsn/tsn152.htm
If you are using the first set of targets, this has been my experience using
JAWS (v. 18):
- HTML + MathJax (1st target) + Google Chrome works best
If you are using the second set of targets, this has been my experience
using JAWS (v. 18):
- HTML + MathML + MathJax (1st target) + Google Chrome works best
Note: In the past I had been able to use HTML + MathML (2nd target) +
Firefox using JAWS (v. 18) but I just tested with Firefox Quantum and this
no longer seems to work.
