[Athen] Font family and size, and paper color for printed material

Wondering if anyone has suggestions for font family and size for printed
material. Are there are any references you could point me to?

Also, I was asked about paper background color for black print - I was
going to suggest light/pale pastels but I do not really know. Any thoughts
on this?

This would be for printed material handed out to students during
orientation (backed up an accessible online source).
