Yes, Shannon, that was our biggest problem too, with RWG. The best fix we found is at the following link:

We’ve had that problem when installing Read & Write Gold.

You’ll need to make some changes in the system preferences. Go into security and privacy. In the general tab you should have some options for allowing app downloads. If you don’t see an option to allow from anywhere, there’s something you can do in the terminal to get that option. Let me know if you need the information for the next step in the terminal.

Hi all,

I am attempting to install the Echo desktop on a Mac Book Air laptop and I keep getting a pop up message from the Mac Book that says the download/install is not a recognized app and the computer is identifying it as Malware. Any suggestions on how to get around this issue so the student can use the Live Scribe Echo pen?
