Subject: [Athen] Latin book

Howdy all!

I have a student that's taking a Latin class this semester, and they're using the text Wheelock's Latin (7th ed.) by Frederic Wheelock. It's a HarperCollins text that is available via Bookshare.

A couple of things I'd love your feedback on:

· The Bookshare file is pretty large. It seems to crash any app we put it in. I've reached out to their support this afternoon - and hope to know more on that end.

· I've also noticed that, because this is a Latin text, many of the characters don't read properly with JAWS. What is your advice when encountering these scenarios?

· If I do need to cut and scan a copy... What would your approach be to help make sure these Latin characters are incorporated into the text in a way that a JAWS user will be able to read them?

Any insight would be wonderful at this point. Grateful for the wisdom on this list!
