[Athen] Issue with Firefly/Kurzweil 3000

HI all,

A student who uses Kurzweil 3000 on his laptop stated that every time the voice gets to quotation marks and occasionally apostrophes, it will say "circumplex" no matter what voice or item he is trying to have read to him. Has anyone else experienced this? If so, is there a fix?
