Dean,

The publisher won't do that for you? If a Cengage book I would reach out to them first.

Cengage Alternate Format Requests<https://www.cengage.com/permissions/alternate-format-requests/>

Make sure you tell them you want an accessible Word document. If you don't say accessible they will give an inaccessible one.

Sorry I can't tell you who to reach with other publishers.

Janet

Subject: [Athen] convert foreign language textbook

CAUTION: External Email

Hi,

What vendors do you recommend to convert a foreign language textbook from PDF to an accessible Word document? The textbook is in German, and is needed by an instructor. Classes start Aug 24. Our disability services office is unable to help, and the publisher has not responded yet.

HR is working with the instructor, and reached out to us to seek advice.

Thanks for any suggestions!

Dean
