[Athen] Abbyy Finereader Processes

We created a basic micro-course for alternate media specialists in the CCC
system titled, "Alternate Media workflow strategies for PDF
<https://catalog.onlinenetworkofeducators.org/browse/accessibility/courses/pdf-workflow-strategies>"
that focuses on basic practices for dealing with PDF documents as well as
using Abbyy Finereader. It is a free, self-paced course in Canvas, although
you would have to create a student account to access it. We also have it on
Canvas Commons for colleges that want to download their own copy of the
course and edit locally.

We do cover the basics of Abbyy and various output options. It is not
intended for someone who has been using Abbyy for 10 years, but rather for
someone who is either new to the alternate media space and dealing with
PDFs or would like some information about the Abbyy OCR process.

Hope this helps.

Take care,
Sean
