HI Leslie,
I use the Fellowes Galaxy e500 (https://www.fellowes.com/row/en/products/pages/product-details.aspx?prod=FT-5622101). I am quite sure we purchased through campus supply vendor.

I prefer comb because it is easier to take apart if needed (add/remove/replace) pages. Coils tear less but are more time consuming to make changes to binded document in my experience.

I had a previous model that is no longer produced that had more fine tune adjustments for page sizes as well as more punch/no punch adjustments than this newer model. That is the only drawback I have with this one. I do not use this one as regularly as the other model I had due to decrease need to produce in house, but it does great, especially for the price!

Best,

Subject: [Athen] Recommendations for Coil or Comb Binder Machine

Hello All,

We are in need of a new Coil or Comb Binder Machine for braille books that we produce. Does anyone have a preference or recommendation on which is better, Coil or Comb? Also any recommendations on a machine you love or ones to avoid?

Thanks!
