The Network of Assistive Technologists will be welcoming Runa Patel from Microsoft Canada as she brings us an overview of Windows 11 and the Accessibility options it offers

The training session will highlight interesting accessibility features in Windows 11 including Cortana, Narrator, Magnification, closed captioning etc. The audience for this presentation includes users of Assistive Technology as well as professionals working in the Assistive Technology field. This presentation will provide an overview of some of the exciting updates being made in Windows 11 as well as answer any question you may have regarding using Windows 11 with Assistive Technology. About Runa Patel:
Runa Patel is currently working as an enterprise training associate at Microsoft. A 2020 graduate of York University in Psychology, she also has a diploma in Social Work. She has acquired Human Computer Interaction certification from Georgia Tech as well as Cloud DevOps from MIT Professional Education. Throughout her career Runa has been actively contributing to make a difference in the lives of others. She is currently a board member of Access to Accessibility and a research assistant with Ontario College of Art and Design (OCAD University) working on STEM-related accessibility and assistive technology projects. She also serves as a board member for the employment and education committee with Alliance for Equality of Blind Canadians. She hosts the podcast “Equitable Education”, and in her spare time enjoys coding, playing audio games and baseball, performing music, volunteering, and spending time with her guide dog, Valora.
