[Athen] AVA?

I can’t speak to the quality of the AVA captions as I have not used them before, but I am very familiar with Kaltura/Cielo and haven’t been too pleased with their services (unless things have changed dramatically since I last used Cielo 3 years ago). I’d expect that Kaltura captions would need to be edited quite a bit to bring them up to an acceptable level for accommodations. It’s possible that AVA can get you closer to that goal in their first pass.

Has anyone had any experience with this product? I heard they were at the AHEAD conf this year, but I couldn’t go so… but our Director was told about it and wants to know more.

I've looked at their website but I’m not convinced it’s any better than what we already have in place. Through Kaltura/Cielo, we can already get YouTube videos captioned pretty quickly, along with any home-grown videos and we also have a staff of CART and ASL we can deploy either online or on campus.
