I’m going to put this out there first and foremost, I have no idea what questions to ask and how to ask the questions I need to know/ask but here goes. I’m looking into getting a small (?) format (?) 3d printer. I have two blind students who know basic Braille (one better at it than the other one) who are taking intro chem and physics. Has anyone successfully printed the periodic table in 3d? Are there special techniques? Do you have the plans (?) you can share or direct me where I can find them? We have a license for Fusion 360 if that’s helpful. Oh, and I have a deaf/blind student coming Spring 2023. Lawd have mercy on me - this will be my first.
Any other tips/hints are greatly appreciated. I did attend the ATHEN STEM conference last week and am going back over the presentation to glean more information, but thought I’d stop here as well.
This is the first time in 20 years that we’ve had students who use Braille! So no equipment or software here anymore, all we had crumbled to dust.
TIA
