Hi all,

Metroplex Voice Computing closed down several years ago. There may be
resellers that still have some copies of MathTalk & Scientific Notebook
available. The last update before closing down worked with Dragon
NaturallySpeaking 15.0 individual professional. *IF* you can find a copy of
MT & SN, keep in mind that there won’t be any support or any updates
forthcoming. IT on your campus may not support after market software
without licensing and support (that’s my long disclaimer!). If you can find
a copy, talk to IT on your campus. Alternatively, install DNS 15.0
Individual professional with MathTalk & Scientific Notebook on a laptop and
check it out to a student directly (instead of installing on the college
server & using in on the college network).

So, assuming you can find a copy of the MathTalk & Scientific Notebook from
a reseller and already have Dragon NaturallySpeaking 15.0 Individual
Professional, feel free to contact me off-list at foreigntype at gmail dot
com. I use it (mine still works) and I have trained DS students to use it,
and have presented on this software in AT conferences and trained other
service providers in the (recent) past in workshops on how to use it. I may
be able to help with some set up & how to use it.

EquatIO is coming along and improvements are always being added to its
usefulness. It is not (yet) as robust as MT nor does it handle as many
levels of math. It does a good job with lower level maths and algebra.

There are no other speech to text options in math yet.

My $0.03 for today. I am glad to help if you need more information.
