Our *Director of IDD Assistive Technology* leads the organization’s
commitment to being a ‘Technology-First’ provider through technology
advocacy for individuals with disabilities, outcome-driven technology
implementation, and dynamic relationship building with technology
developers and key stakeholders. Enabling technologies are ever evolving
innovations that have the potential to profoundly increase the independence
level of individuals with disabilities and to radically change traditional
disability supports.



*This is a hybrid role; while mostly standard Monday through Friday, Work

>From Home, there are virtual meetings and in-office requirements and as

well as some travel to the community home environments.  *

Some *Essential Functions* of Position:

   - Builds person-centered, outcome-driven frameworks for technology
   assessment and implementation to increase the independence level of
   individuals with disabilities


   - Develops best-practices for the provision and sustainability of remote
   support service models


   - Establishes tech pilot partnerships and evaluates organizational
   impact


   - Serves on PA Technology Task Force


   - Participates in tech first leadership meetings, facilitates Enabling
   Technology Integration Specialist Community of Practice and Enabling
   Technology Meet Up Group


   - Advocates for technology accessibility of individuals with
   disabilities and articulates tech first commitment to internal and external
   stakeholders


   - Presents on enabling technology topics at conferences and
   internal/external meetings


   - Coordinates and certifies understanding of technology implementation
   plans and manages pilot roll outs


   - Engages tech leaders locally and nationwide to understand and inform
   best practices


   - Advocates for funding for the range of technology needs and supports
   grant writing efforts to build organizational resources


   - Performs ongoing assessment of technology plans and modifies
   accordingly


   - Models a person-centered technology approach during participation in
   consultations, assessments, and team meetings



*Qualifications:*

   - Bachelor’s Degree *required*, Master’s Degree preferred in Education,
   Occupational Therapy, Speech, Special Education or related Social Services,
   or Assistive Technology Professional. Must possess or be willing to
   complete Enabling Technology Leadership Certification.


   - Must have at least 5 years’ professional experience, including the use
   of enabling and/or assistive technology and some combination of supervisory
   or administrative experience.
