[Athen] Seeking feedback on Glean for Education

Hello Ione

Our department has used Glean for Education for the past year, and I'd say the most useful aspect of it is the post-recording transcription. It's useful for students who like what a program such as Otter does but also want the comprehensive notetaking features that Glean utilizes. I would say it's worth it, but I'll also note that Glean has started including some of the newer Education features as subscription-like add ons. Even if you get Glean for Education, there's no guarantee that your students will get some newer features unless your department pays additional money. In that way, I could see Education being cost prohibitive and not worth the upgrade.

Hello all,

We currently have a license for Glean for Teams (as in a group, not the software from Microsoft). We are evaluating whether or not we would like to upgrade to a Glean for Education license, and are looking for feedback from other institutions who have experience with Glean for Education. Specifically, we're looking for information that can help answer the very basic question "Is it worth it?".
