If you're able to use HTML or EPUB instead of Word, then LaTeX with MathJax works extremely well. It is also free.

Greetings,

The head of our math department reached out to ask about alternatives to MathType for creating accessible equations. Evidently the cost has doubled so they are wanting to look into other options. Do you all have any recommendations for something that would help the faculty make math accessible?

One option that they are considering is Equatio - does it work well with Word? - and does it produce a similar output for the students?

Please excuse the cross posting

Thanks so much!
H.
