[Athen] Looking for accessible text-based flashcards for Canvas

Seeking input for accessible text-based flashcards for Canvas.

Thank you in advance for any help.


Criteria:


  *   Text-based flashcards
     *   Looks and works similarly to the ones in Quizlet or H5P – word on one side with definition on the other side.
     *   I don’t need to be able to add images, but it’s ok if it’s image capable – should have the ability to add alt-text if it accepts images.
     *   AI generated audio would be a nice add for UDL but is not required – I probably won’t have the time to add my own audio unless the audio is inline and can be recorded right into the flashcard as I would prefer not to mess around with having to record elsewhere and upload audio files.
     *   Additional study modes like Quizlet has (examples: matching and gravity games) would be nice for UDL, but are not required – any additional modes should be screen reader accessible if available.
     *   H5P Dialog cards do not have additional study modes.

  *   Accessible for a screen reader and screen magnifier, easy to operate/control/flip with a mouse or keyboard-only.

  *   I would prefer to be able to embed the flashcards in a page in Canvas using the HTML editor, so participants do not have to go outside of the Canvas 101 classroom.

  *   Ad free would be awesome.
     *   The free version of Quizlet is not ad free.
     *   I believe embedded H5P Dialog Cards would be ad free.

  *   I would prefer embedded content that does not require a paid LTI to be installed so that it is easier to share with our colleges – free is always nice. 😊
     *   My understanding is that the embedded H5P Dialog Cards would require a paid LTI to be installed to share the content.
