Hello,

I work at UW medicine as a research scientist and my team in Pulmonary, Critical Care Medicine is looking to hire a Research Scientist 1 to start in June. I thought there may be some qualified candidates among the biology/chemistry/biochemistry graduating seniors. Is there a mailing list the link to the posting could be sent to? We’re looking for someone with some lab and data analysis experience. Let me know if you need additional info, thanks so much. If students have questions, they can reach out to me at bragerc at uw.edu <mailto:bragerc at uw.edu>

Department of Medicine: Pulmonary has an outstanding opportunity for a Research Scientist 1.
The University of Washington's Division Pulmonary, Critical Care, and Sleep Medicine is seeking a Research Scientist/Engineer 1 (Full-Time (1.0 FTE)) based at the UW Medical Center Montlake Campus. The lab is investigating the molecular risks for clinical outcomes in (1) lung transplant recipients and (2) patients hospitalized with COVID-19. Projects involve recruiting patients, collecting and processing blood and respiratory samples, executing lab techniques such as cell culture and molecular measurements, clinical data abstraction from the electronic medical record, and performing statistical analyses. Successful candidates are required to interact in a collaborative manner with other team members to accomplish organizational goals and expected to contribute to group efforts in all areas.

Best regards,
Carolyn
