Student Assistants wanted for Zebrafish Genetics Lab

Students wanted to help care and maintain Zebrafish (Danio rerio). Schedule is Monday-Friday (approx. 15-19 hours/week) with intermittent weekend coverage. Duties include feeding, culturing live foods (Rotifers and Artemia), flushing filters and recording environmental data.

Position provides an excellent entry-level experience to gain fisheries and aquaculture knowledge in a biomedical research milieu. Additionally, the lab is used by the departments of Biology, Biochemistry and Biological Structure. Students interested in future graduate studies will have the opportunity to mingle among researchers active in the studies of embryonic development, gene mutation and function.
