Brandon Smith was devastated when he saw his prosthetic leg fall into 
Sunrise Lake and sink out of reach.  

The Milford Township man dove after the artificial limb, but the laws 
of density and water drove the prosthetic leg toward the murky depths 
faster than Smith could swim.  

While he wrestled to stave off the anger, frustration and depression 
that came with his lost leg, Smith´s wife and father-in-law got busy 
reaching out to people who could help.
