Voice Over on Mac still doesn't have as many accessibility features as its
Windows counterparts.

It's an Apple issue.

Forms is one area where its usefulness is limited.

I believe you can learn more about Voice Over's capabilities (ha ha, really,
should be lack-of-capabilities) on the www.WebAim.org
<http://www.WebAim.org> forum where folks post their questions and findings
on accessibility tech topics like this.

An option would be an HTML-based web version of the form, but I'm not sure
even that would overcomes VO's shortcomings with forms. Maybe, but not sure.

What application are you using to view the PDF?

Cheers, Karen

Subject: [Athen] Fillable PDF Forms and VoiceOver

Hello All,

We have been creating a number of Fillable PDF forms here at the university.
The forms are 100% accessible on the PC side using JAWS for Windows 2018,
NVDA, and ZoomText Fusion 2018. When I try working with the same PDF forms
using a MacBook with the High Sierra operating system and VoiceOver, I am
not able to access any radio buttons or signature fields. All other edit
fields and checkboxes are accessible.

The forms were created using Adobe Acrobat Pro DC version 2018.001.2040. An
accessibility check was ran on each form as well as proper labels and
annotations for tags.

I would be very grateful for any help in learning how to fix and avoid this
issue in the future.

Thank you for all your help.

Michael
