[Athen] Dual Language Captioning Workflow

Good Afternoon,

We're planning on captioning a dual language Spanish/English class this upcoming Spring semester. Has anyone developed a fast turnaround workflow for captioning a dual language video? Or is anyone aware of any automated tools that could combine the two different language captions into one caption file?

Some options we've considered, or are aware of:

  1.  https://support.3playmedia.com/hc/en-us/articles/115015847187-Dual-Language-Transcription-Service-Overview (Has a 4 business day turnaround time)
  2.  Request captions in both languages from a 24-hour turnaround vendor and then manually combine/sync those files into one caption file
  3.  Request captions in both languages and maintain their separate tracks in the player. Then have the student switch between tracks when the language changes in the video
